you probably got here because your account or instance appears in our dataset.

these are public archives of activity on Bluesky and Mastodon, covering posts, profiles and other activity. posts are collected with their text and metadata. profiles cover the account details you already publish, such as your handle, display name, bio, avatar, and the instance you're on.

new releases are published every month, partitioned by year and then by month. older partitions stay up once published, and are only modified when we receive a valid or legal request to do so (these are honored for everyone, jurisdiction doesn't factor in.).

how do i opt-out?

add #noindex in your bio and leave it there. it's checked on every crawl, and once processed, your posts and profile are removed from every release that ships afterward. if you'd like to opt back in, remove it. you do NOT need to double opt out even if your bridgy has a custom domain, the entire bridgy pds is blocklisted.

your data isn't being used for AI training.

these datasets aren't used to train models, and they aren't sold or licensed to anyone who does. everyone downloading them has agreed to a license that prohibits use for model training. to download the dataset, you must agree to the license and leave your contact details along with reason to download

why is my account in here?

everything collected is content your account already serves publicly to logged-out visitors, other instances federating with yours, and any client that hits the public API. nothing private, follower-locked, or DM-based is touched.

if your posts are unlisted or followers-only, they aren't collected. if your instance blocks or authenticates outside access, that restriction carries through and its accounts won't show up.

i run an instance. what are my options?

instance-level access controls are respected. if you turn on authorized fetch, restrict the public timeline, or block the crawler outright, accounts on your instance stop appearing in future releases.

if you own an instance and are getting hammered (you shouldn't but just in case), i can also tweak settings on it too. please email or dm me.
